Phase diagram of a frustrated Heisenberg model: From disorder to order and back again

We study the effects of bond and site disorder in classical $J_{1}$-$J_{2}$ Heisenberg model on a square lattice order-by-disorder frustrated regime $2J_{2}>\left|J_{1}\right|$. Combining symmetry arguments, numerical energy minimization large scale Monte Carlo simulations, we establish that finite temperature Ising-like transition clean system is destroyed presence any concentration impurities. explain this finding via random-field mechanism which generically emerges systems where locally breaks same real-space spontaneously globally broken by associated order parameter. also determine phase replacing one paramagnet polarized nematic glass with non-trivial magnetic response. This because induces non-collinear spin-vortex-crystal produces conjugated transverse dipolar random field. As result these many competing effects, susceptibilities are non-monotonic functions temperature. further application our methods, show generation axes other magnets SU(2) symmetry. discuss generality findings their relevance to experiments.
